Justice Court
The Justice Court works closely with the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, CTED, Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and other local and regional Law Enforcement agencies. Our duties include handling civil and criminal court cases. This includes affidavits filed by Law Enforcement and citizens, as well as traffic citations.
Due to time constraints, all civil and criminal matters will not be filed after 4 pm.

- Civil actions under $3,500
- Criminal misdemeanor charges
- Felony preliminaries
- Highway patrol, Sheriff Department, Constables, and MDOT Citations
- Fish and Wildlife and Department of Marine Resources Citations
Violations & Fines
If you have questions concerning the amount of fines and/or violations, please call 601-403-2572. If you were arrested, we can not give you an amount for any violation; the Judge will have to set your fine in court on your designated court day.
We accept cash, money orders, cashier's checks, and personal checks.
Personal checks must include a physical address, be in-state only, and with 2 phone numbers provided.

Justice Court Forms
You can now download forms to file a criminal charge or civil suit. Please fill everything out before coming to Justice Court but please do not sign anything until you are before a Clerk. Use only 1 form per Defendant. Also, if there is more than 1 person filing, each person must fill out a separate form.
