Emergency Services
"The Mission of the Pearl River County Office of Emergency Services is to provide a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system that coordinates community resources to protect lives, property, and the environment through preparedness, prevention, response, recovery and mitigation from all natural and man-made hazards that may impact the citizens and businesses in Pearl River County. Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
The Pearl River County GIS Department was created to direct the development of the county's Enterprise GIS system bringing efficiency and effectiveness to county mapping functions and databases.

The Human Resources Department serves the County's Board of Supervisors by performing human resource functions for over 300 employees.

The Information Technology (IT) Department supports all the computer and technology needs of Pearl River County, assisting in the County's efforts to serve its citizens as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The Planning and Development department is a resource provided by the Board of Supervisors to maintain a forward thinking plan for growth and development in our ever changing County while preserving what makes Pearl River County great.

Purchasing
The Pearl River County Purchasing Department is responsible for administration of a centralized purchasing system that assists county departments in the procurement of requested equipment, machinery, supplies, commodities, materials, and services used by any office or department of the County in conformance with Mississippi law and the Board of Supervisors Policies.

Sheriff's Department
The Sheriff is the chief officer of the Chancery and Circuit Courts and maintains the county law library. The Sheriff is in charge of the county courthouse, jail, and protection of prisoners.

Tax Assessor & Collector
The broad range of duties of the Tax Collector includes but is not limited to the collection of taxes on real property, personal property, manufactured homes, automobiles, motorcycles, motor homes, trailers, and airplanes.

Veterans Services
Pearl River County has a large veteran population, most of these veterans and their family members will need assistance at some point in their lives in filing a claim with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
