You can also submit agenda item requests online through the Agenda Item Request Form. Questions about the board's calendar should also be directed to the Office of the County Administrator.
Function of the Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors is Pearl River County's legislative and executive authority and is comprised of five supervisors elected to four-year terms. Pearl River County is divided into five geographic districts based on population. Each supervisor must be living in the district from which they are elected. The supervisors' positions are partisan and are nominated in a primary election embracing only their particular district. All voters in Pearl River County are given an opportunity in the general election to select who will serve.
The supervisors are charged with overseeing county operations, financial and budgetary matters and the adoption of laws that regulate county growth, health, safety and welfare of its citizens.
