Pearl River County is governed by five elected District Supervisors. The five supervisors are elected to four-year terms by the citizens of their district.
The Chancery Clerk occupies one of the more diverse offices in all of Mississippi government. The various duties given to the Chancery Clerk by statute cover a wide range of essential functions.
The Sheriff is the chief officer of the Chancery and Circuit Courts and maintains the county law library. The Sheriff is in charge of the county courthouse, jail, and protection of prisoners.
The broad range of duties of the Tax Collector includes but is not limited to the collection of taxes on real property, personal property, manufactured homes, automobiles, motorcycles, motor homes, trailers, and airplanes.
